The coffee is roasted there. It is run by a local family so I feel great about supporting them. They know their coffee beans and will recommend or blend to your taste. The staff remembers your name and the regulars are like family.
Rrags Cafe is a family owned coffee shop, with good coffee including all the fancy ones. I go here almost everyday, and prefer it to the Starbucks down the street. Sam and Gia run the place, and go out of their way to provide good service, a smile and quality coffee, pastry and a selection of other food including salad...
I like that this place remains open even though there is a Starshmux just around the corner. Decent prices, traditional coffee drinks, and they have their coffee roaster in the middle of the cafe so you know they always use fresh beans! There's usually small groups of people aged 50+ here readin papers or having conversation...
There is a lot to like about Rrags - they roast their own beans on-site and the coffee is delicious, the people who work there are always cheerful, they have a good selection of fresh Noah's bagels in the morning and there is a wide variety of fresh quiche, pastries, etc. Hard to beat a local place with great coffee...
RRAGS has been my favorite morning stop for years! Great coffee, great service, and such fabulous "home town" feel - truly an icon for Benicia!
This is a great place to get coffee as an alternative to Starbucks! They also have sandwiches and baked goods. I personally like their Chinese Chicken Salad, it has a great dressing!!
This is a wonderful coffee experience. Family owned, neighborhood cafe where the food is fresh and the staff is friendly. The coffee is roasted frequently and brewed with strength. The owners are kind and generous. I highly recommend this establishment for buying whole beans by the pound. You can't find it roasted fresher than here.
Excellent coffee and a great atmosphere characterize Rrags. This home town coffee shop is a wonderful diversion from run of the mill corporate establishments.
Rrags is everything what a local coffee shop should be. Good coffee, decent selection of pastries, lots of seats and friendly service. Why go anywhere else in Benicia?

Remember the sitcom Cheers! Well this is the coffee version of it. I've been going since it has opened 16 or so years ago great owners great people great lunch great coffee. Support local business you won't be disappointed
The coffee is great. The people are great. Best place to wake up to. I don't know what I would do without them!
I always stop here when I drive through Benicia. Awesome coffee and you get a big size for the price of a small size after like 1 or 2 pm.
I come to Benicia every summer with my best friend and we are always on the look for a good place to get her some strong coffee and me some quality tea- they surpassed every expectation we had! Their after 1 special makes a large drink $2.50 and its such a great deal. Plus SUPER STRONG COFFEE!
The chicken salad is THE BEST. Cheap, big, and delicious. Same workers everytime I'm there, very family like, great staff. Their chai tea is 10x better then Starbucks. Locally owned and one of the best coffee shops in Solano.

The BEST COFFEE IN BENICIA by far. Plus the WOW factor, friendly and totally reliable. They always know what you want and the way you like it. Not so at Starbucks, all they care about is the almighty dollar. Rrags cares about who you are and what you want.
